COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)– In today’s look at Local Living, the 6th annual Cottontown Art Crawl kicks off next month.

Nearly 200 artists will showcase their work in the historic neighborhood of Downtown Columbia.

The event takes place on Saturday, March 9 from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. Admission is free.

 

There will be a Mardi Gras Festival and Parade in Columbia this Saturday.

The parade will start on Jim Hamilton Boulevard in the Rosewood District at 11 a.m.

The festival will feature live music, food trucks, local vendors and more.

Tickets are $5 and free for the kids 12 and under.

 

The State Museum is hosting their accessibility morning from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m. on Saturday.

Guests who are neurodiverse or have disabilities are invited to enjoy a sensory-friendly show.

They will also have a chance to meet a character from “Clifford The Big Red Dog” for a special book reading. Admission is free.

 

Columbia Animal Services is hosting an adoption special throughout the month.

You can bring home your new fur-ever friend for just $14.

The shelter is located on Humane Lane.

It’s open from 12 p.m. until 5 pm. On Monday through Friday, and 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. on Saturday.
