Coroner identifies person killed in motorcycle collision
LEXINGTON COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO)– Lexington County Coroner Margaret Fisher has released the name of the person killed in a motorcycle collision, said the coroner’s office.
According to Coroner Fisher, the crash happened on Sunday, Feb. 4 around 1:30 p.m. on South Lake Drive at Paps Drive in Lexington County.
Hunter Avery Rabon, 19, of Newberry was driving a motorcycle and was going west on South Lake Drive when he collided with an SUV traveling east and attempting to turn left on to Paps Drive, says Coroner Fisher.
Rabon was taken to a nearby hospital where he was pronounced dead from the injuries he received in the collision.
Also, the driver of the SUV was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries and was later released.
The South Carolina Highway Patrol MAIT and the Lexington County Coroner’s Office are continuing to investigate the collision.
