Lexington County coroner identifies body found on I-20

LEXINGTON COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO)– Lexington County Coroner Margaret Fisher is releasing the name of the woman found dead on the shoulder of I-20 Westbound.

Coroner Fisher says Stephanie Chanel Quintana, 22, of Columbia was found dead on the shoulder of the highway by a passerby on the morning of Feb. 2 around 7:15 a.m.

Quintana’s autopsy was done on Monday, Feb. 5 at 8:30 a.m. at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston.

Investigators say the vehicle that struck Miss Quintana has not been identified.

Anyone with information that could help the case is urged to call the South Carolina Highway Patrol or the Lexington County Coroner’s Office.

The South Carolina Highway Patrol is continuing to investigate the case.
