Pet of the Week: Samantha

COLUMBIA, SC (WOLO): Meet Samantha! Samantha is hoping to find her happily ever after ahead of Valentine’s Day. Her love story with fellow shelter dog, Papi, has already captivated all Columbia Animal Services’ staff and volunteers!

Sweet, submissive Samantha was surrendered with Papi by their owner, at no fault of their own. Together, they had a litter of four puppies who have all been adopted. Samantha has since been spayed and her puppy days are over! Now she’s looking for her ‘furever’ home.

Samantha is a medium sized dog with a beautiful brindle coat. She is shy and reserved at the shelter, but shelter staff say she’s proven to be very loyal, sweet, and trusting of people, despite her reserved personality. Samantha is gentle on the leash, and even rides well in the car! Samantha would be great in a home with Papi, or other dogs. She would probably do wonderful in a home with kids too! Shelter staff always encourage meet and greets with your furry or human housemates to ensure a successful adoption.

All adoption fees for the month of February are just $14! They include spay/neuter surgery, microchips, vaccinations, and flea/heartworm preventative.

You can also attend the shelters Pups & Pints adoption series event -Speed Dating Edition- this Saturday, February 10th at Bierkeller (600 Canalside Street Suite 1009) from Noon to 3pm. Adoption fees will be waived! Potential adopters are encouraged to bring a leash and a collar for their new furry friend.
