Portion of Hardscrabble Road to shut down due to construction

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)– According to SCDOT, a portion of Hardscrabble Road is set to close overnight beginning on Wednesday.

The overnight closure will occur on the evenings of Wednesday, Feb. 7 and Thursday, Feb. 8 due to construction.

SCDOT says Hardscrabble Road, between Elders Pond Road and Lee Road, will be closed between 7 p.m. and 7 a.m. on both nights.

Signs will be put up to make drivers aware of the detour route. The closure is part of the Richland County Hardscrabble Road widening project.

SCDOT encourages drivers to plan their routes in advance and to drive safely near work zones.
