Local Living: Pet adoption specials, Valentine’s Day at the state museum

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)– In today’s look at Local Living, Columbia Animal Services is hosting an adoption special throughout the month.

You can bring home your new fur-ever friend for just $14.

The shelter is located on Humane Lane and is open from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Mondays through Fridays.

And 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. on Saturdays.

The Lexington County Animal Services is hosting its own Valentine’s adoption special all month long.

All adoption fees will be reduced to $5.

Every adopted pet is fully vaccinated, microchipped and spayed/neutered.

You can visit the shelter on Ball Park Road on Mondays through Fridays from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. or Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

You can celebrate Valentine’s Day at the state museum.

“Amore Under the Stars” will feature a champagne bar, delicious food, a laser light show and live music from Cola Jazz.

The event is on Feb. 14 from 6 p.m. until 10 p.m.

Tickets are $80 for the general public and $60 for members.
