RICHLAND COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO)– Another Alvin S. Glenn Detention Center employee was arrested for misconduct in office following multiple recent arrests, said Richland County deputies.
The Richland County Sheriff’s Department said Shatara Smith was caught taking contraband through the front door of the jail on Sunday, Feb.11.
Smith is accused of stuffing and trying to conceal a cloudy white substance and white pills into her bag and drink cup, RCSD deputies said.

She was booked into the Alvin S. Glenn Detention Center and given a surety bond of $20,000.
