Sumter Co.: Man sent to hospital after being shot, identifies shooter

SUMTER COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO)– A man was taken to a hospital following a shooting in the Sumter County area, say Sumter County deputies.

The Sumter County Sheriff’s Office says deputies found a man shot in the area of Ballpark Road in Pinewood after receiving a call on Sunday morning.

Investigators say the man was able to identify the suspect as Iszarah Rockingham-Barnett before being airlifted to Prisma Health Richland.

The man had a serious wound but he is in stable condition.

Barnett was arrested, taken to the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office Detention Center and her bond was denied.

She is being charged with attempted murder and possession of a weapon during a violent crime.
