Actor casts local students in musical movie production
RICHLAND COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO)– One actor is working to make dreams come true for students at Lower Richland High School.
Actor Malik Yoba production company is producing a musical movie that will feature a few local students.
The actor spoke to students from schools in the area at Lower Richland on Monday, Feb. 12 and encouraged them to identify their dreams.
“Well representation matters. So if you can’t see the thing then you don’t know you can be it,” said Yoba.
The casted students will be featured in a film called “Swoop” which is based off the bestselling series written by Carolina native Stephanie Perry.
