CPD: Reward offered for information about stolen greek festival equipment

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)– An anonymous resident is offering a $5,000 reward for information leading to an arrest and the recovery of stolen equipment, said CPD.

According to the Columbia Police Department, around $50-60,000 worth of items owned by the Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Cathedral were stolen.

The stolen equipment is what the cathedral uses every year for the annual Greek Festival held in Columbia.

Columbia Police said the Property Crimes Unit (PCU) is continuing to investigate the theft of the church’s expensive kitchen equipment.

Anyone is encouraged to provide an anonymous tip through CrimeStoppers at 1-888-CRIME-SC (888-274-6372) and earn a separate cash reward of up to $1,000 for information leading to the arrest of the person responsible for the theft.
