Man charged following weekend shooting in Sumter, police say

SUMTER, S.C. (WOLO)– A 21-year-old man is facing charges following a weekend shooting that left a man injured, said the Sumter Police Department.

Jae-Sean Cameus Lubin is accused of shooting Mikhal Hunter, 23, during an argument at the victim’s home on Friday around 7:30 p.m.

Officers said Lubin turned himself in to police on Monday.

He was booked at the Sumter County Detention Center and charged with attempted murder and possession of a weapon during a violent crime.

The victim is currently in critical but stable condition at a hospital.
