Firefighters respond to late Tuesday night house fire

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)– Fire crews responded to a house fire late Tuesday night in the 5200 block of Middleton Street, said officials.

According to the Columbia-Richland Fire Department, firefighters arrived to the scene to find heavy fire coming from the back of the home.

Firefighters were able to get the fire under control and put out. Officials say the fire attacked the kitchen, rear walls and attic space of the home.

No one was inside the home and no one was reported as injured. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
