Redfin adds poor air quality risk data to real estate listings
(CNN)– Some homebuyers and sellers have a new risk factor to consider.
Real estate website Redfin is adding air quality scores to home listings.
It’s provided under the climate tab and indicates how many days of poor air quality are expected per year at any property.
Redfin says it’s an important factor to consider, just like walkability and schools.
According to the company, people tend to move away from areas that experience bad air quality.
The data for the air quality scores is provided by climate risk firm “First Street”.
