Gov. McMaster responds to lack of hate crime laws in S.C.

Columbia, SC (WOLO) — South Carolina remains among the very few states that does not have a hate crime law on the books.

It’s been a hot topic among lawmakers in recent years.  Tuesday, the topic sparking conversations at the State House after an event in the Low Country where some residents are concerned over a black mannequin they say could be seen hanging from a tree outside an area home.
