Delta Air Lines will offer flight for premium view of total solar eclipse in April

(CNN)– Do you want a very up close and personal view of a total solar eclipse?

A Delta flight this spring will provide that opportunity.

Delta Airlines is offering a special flight from Austin, Texas to Detroit, Michigan on April 8.

Delta flight 1218 will be specially operated on an A220-300 which is an aircraft with extra-large windows.

The flight is timed for the best chance of safely viewing the solar eclipse at its peak, spending as much time as possible directly within the path of totality.
