Dunkin’ now selling caffeinated energy drinks
(CNN)– Now you can really run on Dunkin’. The coffee chain has added a new caffeinated energy drink to its menu.
“Sparkd Energy” comes in berry burst and peach flavors. Dunkin’ says they are made with vitamins, minerals and a kick of caffeine.
According to Dunkin’s website, a large drink is about 193 milligrams of caffeine.
This comes as Dunkin’s rival Panera faces legal trouble over its caffeinated energy drink related to its high levels of caffeine.
The Food and Drug Administration says a healthy adult can safely consume about 400 milligrams of caffeine a day.
