Beyond Meat unveils revamped plant burgers
(CNN)– Beyond Meat unveiled the new version of its plant-based burgers this week.
It’s the fourth version of their meatless patties.
The company says the new patty features avocado oil instead of canola and coconut oils and has more protein and less sodium.
The revamped burger is an attempt to lure customers back with new ingredients amid slumping sales.
Beyond Meat’s restaurant and retail sales have been declining over the past two years.
The company’s stock price rose after Wednesday’s announcement.
