Biometric gun safes are recalled because they don’t keep out unauthorized users

(CNN)–The recall affects gun safes from Bulldog cases, Machir, Moutec and Awesafe.

According to the consumer product safety commission, the locks on these safes fail to properly secure allowing them to be opened by unauthorized users.

Dozens of such incidents have been reported.

The safes in question were sold nationwide and online at Amazon.

Owners are advised to contact the companies for a replacement safe.
