RCSD arrests teenager accused in string of gas station robberies
Richland Co., SC (WOLO) — The Richland County Sheriff’s Department has arrested a teenager accused in a string of robberies. According to authorities, 17 year old Hakim Madyum is being charged as an adult for allegedly going to several gas stations in the area, where deputies say in each incident he pulled out a gun before demanding money from the cashier.
Deputies say Madyum is accused of robbing the Circle K on Farrow Road February 13. One the same day deputies say he also robbed the Circle K located along Parklane Road, and nearly a week later on Thursday February 22 authorities say he robbed the 7-Eleven on Longreen Parkway.
He has been charged with three counts of Robbery, three counts of Kidnapping, and three counts of Possession of a Weapon During a Violent Crime. Madyum was initially booked into the Juvenile division of the Alvin S. Glen Detention Center.
