South Carolina men arrested on criminal solicitation of a minor and related charges
LEXINGTON, S.C. (WOLO)– Two South Carolina men have been arrested after the Attorney General’s Office says both men sent sexually explicit images to minors.
Taz Michael Johnson of Lexington, S.C. is accused of encouraging someone he believed to be a minor to make child sexual abuse material and sent photos to someone he believed to be a minor.
Kevin Dewayne Costley of North Augusta, S.C. is accused of sending pictures to a minor and seeking out a person he believed to be a minor for sex.
Both men were arrested on 10 total charges connected to the attempted sexual exploitation of minors.
Johnson was arrested on February 21 and charged with two counts of criminal solicitation of a minor, one count of attempted sexual exploitation of a minor, and two counts of attempted dissemination of obscene material to a person under age eighteen.
Costley was arrested on February 16 and charged with three counts of criminal solicitation of a minor, and two counts of attempted dissemination of obscene material to a person under age eighteen.
Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force investigators with the Lexington Police Department made the arrests in these unrelated cases.
