EV sales aren’t dropping, here’s what’s going on

(CNN)– The Environmental Protection Agency is considering slowing down requirements for automakers to sell more electric vehicles.

The move could dial back aggressive plans to move away from gas powered cars and SUVs.

EV sales in the U.S. hit a record last year, topping 1 million for the first time.

However industry insiders say there are a few factors stick holding back sales.

Those factors include higher prices, the lack of public charging stations and general confusion about the substantial tax credits available for buyers.
