Build-A-Bear offering special deal for Leap Day Birthdays

(CNN)– Build-A-Bear has a special offer for those who don’t get to celebrate their actual birthday every year.

The retailer is offering people who were born on February 29th the chance to build one of its signature bears for just $4.

This year’s leap day is Thursday and according to Build-A-Bear, roughly 200 thousand people in the U.S. made their grand debut on that unique day.

Leap days are needed once every four years to make up the spare time the earth needs to make it all the way around the sun.
