COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)– Riverbanks Zoo and Garden took to their social media page to warn people about a scam circulating online.

Zoo officials warned Midlands residents about a false advertisement offering discounted tickets in celebration of Riverbanks’ 50th Anniversary.

Everyone was urged to not click on the provided link or share any personal information as the offer is not valid.

The Facebook post also gave tips to ensure your zoo tickets are valid.

• Valid Riverbanks tickets should only be purchased on our website at riverbanks.org, or by visiting our ticket windows at either of our two park entrances.
• Do not purchase tickets from unauthorized social media accounts, and please report the ad and page that is providing false information.
