Armed man arrested after barricading himself inside home, fired shots

RICHLAND COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO)– A man was arrested after barricading himself inside a home, said Richland County deputies.

According to the Richland County Sheriff’s Department, deputies responded to the 100 block of Sunderland Drive in relation to shots fired on Saturday.

When deputies arrived to the scene Bryce Locklear was found on his porch but immediately went inside.

Investigators say after hours of negotiation he threatened to shoot them.

In the early morning hours of Sunday he came out of the house with a high powered rifle and fired a round before going back inside.

The special response team deployed gas to get him out of the residence and he was arrested.

Locklear was charged with aggravated breach of peace and taken to the hospital, then later to the Alvin S. Glenn Detention Center.
