Fairfield Co. coroner releases name of person found dead in alley
FAIRFIELD COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO)– Fairfield County Coroner Chris Hill has released the name of the person who died after a hit-and-run in Winnsboro on Friday March 1, said the coroner’s office.
Coroner Hill said Brian Kennedy, Sr., age 56, of Winnsboro, was found in an alley off of South Zion Street after being hit by an unknown vehicle.
An autopsy is scheduled for Kennedy to determine the extent of injuries and the cause of death.
The hit-and-run is being investigated by the Fairfield County Coroner’s Office, the Winnsboro Public Safety and the South Carolina Highway Patrol.
Anyone with information on the case should notify Winnsboro Public Safety or South Carolina Highway Patrol.
