Midlands man arrested in connection with sexual exploitation of minors

KERSHAW COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO)– A Kershaw County man was arrested in connection with the sexual exploitation of minors, said the AG’s office.
According to the Attorney General’s Office, 20-year-old James Leonard Carter, Jr., engaged in criminal sexual conduct with a minor and manufactured files of child sexual abuse material.
Carter was arrested on Thursday, Feb. 29, and charged with one count of criminal sexual conduct with a minor and five counts of sexual exploitation of a minor.
Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force investigators along with the Lexington County Sheriff’s Department made the arrest.
