SALUDA COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO)– Saluda County Coroner B. Keith Turner has identified a man who was reported missing this week, said the coroner’s office.

Officials said the Saluda County Coroner’s Office responded to the scene of a single-vehicle collision on Beulah Road near the West Creek bridge on Wednesday night.

According to the coroner’s office, the vehicle appears to have went off the left side of the road and submerged into a creek.

Due to weather conditions and water levels the vehicle was not located until last evening.

The driver was found dead at the scene and was identified as 25-year-old Nolan Ridge who was reported as a missing person earlier in the week.

Ridge’s autopsy has been scheduled for later this week.

The collision is being investigated by the Coroner’s Office, SC Highway Patrol and the Saluda County Sheriff’s Office.
