IHOP, Applebee’s may soon combine

(CNN)– If you are a fan of IHOP and Applebee’s you could soon get your pancake stack with boneless wings on the side.

That’s because Dine Brands Global, the parent company of both restaurants is thinking about opening Applebee’s and IHOP combination restaurants.

In a February earning call, the company said it has closed dozens of Applebee’s locations and opened several new IHOP locations.

The company said the revenue from the joint restaurants could double that of a standalone restaurant and cost less to build.
