1 dead after Lexington County collision, say SCHP
LEXINGTON COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO)– One person is dead after an early morning collision in Lexington County, says the SCHP.
According to state troopers, the collision happened around 4:25 a.m. on Thursday, March 14 on Platt Springs Road.
A 1997 GMC was traveling west on Platt Springs Road when it hit a tractor-trailer that was making a left turn from a private driveway.
The driver of the GMC was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the tractor-trailer was not injured.
Lexington County Coroner Margaret Fisher says the driver of the GMC is Dakotah Troupe Turner, 28, of Lexington.
The collision is being investigated by the South Carolina Highway Patrol.
