Deputies investigating after man found dead in front of Midlands police station

 

 

ORANGEBURG COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO)– Orangeburg County deputies are investigating a homicide after a man was found dead in front of a Midlands police station on Tuesday, says the sheriff’s office.

According to an Orangeburg County Sheriff’s Office incident report, deputies say there were bullet holes in a Dodge Charger stopped in a roadway in front of the Norway Police Department.

Investigators say 21-year-old Simeon Lamar was found shot in the car and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Deputies say they were made aware of the victim when a passerby traveling on Highway 321 reported the vehicle.
