KERSHAW COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO) – One man was shot after an argument about the sale of a car, according to the Kershaw County Sheriff’s Office.

On Saturday, March 16th around 6 p.m., dispatch received a 911 call from a female stating her stepfather was shot on the 2500 block of Ft Jackson Road (Hwy 12) in Lugoff. The caller reported her stepdad was trying to sell a car to someone when an altercation took place and her stepfather was shot. The victim was taken to a Richland hospital with a non-life threatening wound to his lower leg, according to investigators.

The suspect left the scene before deputies arrived.  During the investigation, it was determined that the victim and suspect knew each other. Investigators say the shooter 49-year-old Paul Head of Lugoff was arrested just before midnight. Head will be charged in connection to this incident and will also be charged with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. He is currently at the Kershaw County Detention Center awaiting bond.
