Driver dead after vehicle leaves Orangeburg roadway

ORANGEBURG, S.C. (WOLO)– A Midlands driver is dead after a collision on an Orangeburg highway, said SCHP.

According to Lance Corporal Brittany Glover, the driver of a 2019 Chevrolet Malibu was going south on US-321 when it traveled off the left side before submerging into water around 3:50 a.m. on Monday, March 18.

The collision happened on US-301 at Tyler’s Landing Road, 3 miles south of Norway.

The driver was pronounced dead at the scene and the South Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating the collision.
