SLED charges former Lexington correctional officer with criminal conspiracy, contraband
LEXINGTON COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO)– A former corrections officer in Lexington County is in custody on conspiracy charges.
49-year-old James Johnson was arrested by SLED agents after they say in September in 2020 he conspired with inmates to bring contraband in the Lexington County Detention Center.
One of the items was an iPhone 7 plus. Agents also charged 33-year-old Sky Glover in connection with the conspiracy.
Both were taken to the Lexington County Detention Center.
