What to expect from the Fed meeting

(CNN)– The Federal Reserve is meeting today to vote on whether to raise interest rates.

Chairman Jerome Powell is set to announce the decision this afternoon. Analysts predict the panel will announce that it’s holding the rates steady.

Also, saying although the economy is doing fairly well, inflation’s general path toward cooling has some speed bumps.

Economists say the war in Ukraine continues to affect global oil and food markets, making it harder to obtain goods through the Red Sea.
