COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)– A lottery ticket that was left in a car for a couple of days has won a Midlands man $500,000, says the SC lottery.
The winner told lottery officials he rode around with the ticket lying in the passenger seat for two days after buying it at The Country Peddler Newberry before realizing it was worth half-a-million dollars.
“It was a surprise,” the winner told South Carolina Education Lottery officials. The winner also told officials, the winnings will enhance his life and he is going to spend it wisely.
