RCSD: Road reopen after investigators worked scene of domestic incident

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)– The Richland County Sheriff’s Department says all roads in the area is back open after deputies investigated a domestic violence incident on Thursday afternoon.

According to the Richland County Sheriff’s Department, deputies were called to the 1300 block Parliament Lake Dr in reference to a domestic incident around 3 p.m. on Thursday.

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)– Richland County deputies say a portion of the 1300 block of Parliament is closed down as they work a domestic incident in the area.

According to the Richland County Sheriff’s Department, deputies were called to the 1300 block Parliament Lake Dr in reference to a domestic incident around 3 p.m. on Thursday.

Deputies say when they arrived to the scene, they heard shots fired and was able to secure the victim and pulled back before establishing a perimeter.

RCSD attempted to make contact with the man but was unsuccessful. Then deputies deployed a drone inside of the home.

Once into the home deputies found a man unresponsive with a gunshot wound to the upper part of his body.

EMS at the scene pronounced him dead. The victim was treated at the scene.
