Richland County held groundbreaking for $5.2 million in improvements to Sunset Drive

RICHLAND COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO)– A major Midlands roadway will soon be safer for pedestrians.

This morning Richland County officials announced plans to install a five foot walk-way along Sunset Drive from Makeway Drive to Elmhurst Road.

Officials say the project shows the Richland County Penny Transportation Act at work.

County officials also announced improvement projects for Garners Ferry and Harmon Roads in Lower Richland County and Percival and Screaming Eagle Roads in the Northeast.
