Easter spending expected to top $22 billion this year
(CNN)– The National Retail Federation says consumers will spend $22.4 billion to celebrate the Easter holiday this Sunday.
People celebrating are predicted to spend an average of $177.
Food is expected to be the highest spending category followed by clothing then gifts.
Meanwhile, the price of Coca surged to an all-time high on Tuesday.
This means you could be paying more for chocolate in stores.
This year, the NRF predicts spending on Easter candy will drop to $3.1 billion.
