Local Living: Southeastern Barbecue Showdown, REO Speedwagon, Carolina Cup, Wine tasting event

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)— In today’s Look at Local Living, tickets are on sale for the Southeastern Barbecue Showdown.
This summer Segra Park will become the first sports stadium in the U.S. to host a “food sport competition” called “The Southeastern BBQ Showdown”.
Officials with the Lake Murray Country Tourism Board say the two-day event will host thirty teams as they compete for the title of best BBQ.

Speaking of great bands REO Speedwagon is coming to the Township Auditorium on Saturday.
Doors open at 6 p.m. and the band takes the stage at 7 p.m.
Tickets begin at $53 and they’re available online.
There’s still time to get tickets for Riverbanks Zoo and Botanical Garden’s Wine Tasting event on April 1.
Sip from a variety of domestic and imported wines, sample light bites from local restaurants, taste different micro-brews and listen to live music.
Proceeds from the event go towards ongoing conservation and education efforts at Riverbanks Zoo.
The annual Carolina Cup is racing its way to Camden this weekend.
It all takes place at the Springdale Racecourse. The Steeple Chase Horse Race is on Saturday.
The Carolina Cup Racing Association says gates open at 9 a.m. and the race starts at 1 p.m.
Tickets are $40 through Friday if you buy them online and $60 at the gate the day of the race.
