Local Living: Carolina Cup, Midlands Tech talent show, Columbia International Festival

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)— In today’s Look at Local Living, the annual Carolina Cup is riding back into the Midlands this weekend.

Tens of thousands of spectators are expected to flock to the Springdale Race Course in Camden for the steeple chase this Saturday.

Gates open at 9 a.m. and tickets are now on sale. The first race is at 1 p.m.

 

The annual Midlands Technical College show off talent show is happening this weekend.

It will feature students, faculty, staff and alumni from Midlands Technical College competing for the title of ‘biggest showoff’ and is $1,000.

Tickets are $20 but students, seniors and military personnel will get in for $10.

ABC Columbia’s Tyler Ryan will serve as the MC for the talent show.

 

Get ready to travel around the world right here in the Midlands.

The Columbia International Festival is back on April 6 and April 7 at the state fairgrounds.

The event brings together music, food and culture from all over the world.

Pre-sale tickets at $7 for adults, $4 for teens and free for kids 12 and under. Parking is also $5.
