Columbia, SC (WOLO) — The South Carolina Department of Transportation’s Commission honored Secretary Christy Hall this week.

Hall was dedicated with the interchange of I-20 and I-26 in Columbia now known as the “Secretary Christy A. Hall P.E. Interchange” ahead of her retirement from the department.

The signs to honor Hall have already been installed at the intersection of I-26 and I-20.

Hall commented on the honor saying,

“I am humbled that the Commission would choose this interchange to dedicate to me. This project has been a long time coming and one of the largest projects ever undertaken in the history of SCDOT. It has been a tremendous honor and privilege to lead this agency, working alongside the dedicated men and women of SCDOT to make real improvements in the lives of South Carolinians. I am grateful for the opportunity to serve and look forward to the tremendous progress ahead for the Department of Transportation.”

She is retiring after serving the state for thirty years.
