Local Living: Easter weekend events in the Midlands

Local Living on ABC Columbia brought to you by MUSC Health

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)— In today’s Look at Local Living, there will be several Easter events this weekend.

The Greater CWC Cares Foundation and Strictly Running is hosting a Riverwalk Rabbit Run 5K this Saturday beginning at 9 a.m. at Stone River.

You can register in advance for $35 or $40 the day of the event.

A post race kids Easter egg hunt and more are planned for after the event.

Modern Companion is hosting a pet Easter egg hunt at their boutique in Chapin on Saturday from 11 a.m. until 4 p.m.

Eggs will be hidden all over the store with prices ranging from treats to discounts. Each pet will sniff out one egg.

Opportunities for festive photos will also be available. Tickets are not required.

There’s still time to get tickets for Riverbanks Zoo and Botanical Garden’s Wine Tasting event on April 1.

Sip from a variety of domestic and imported wines, sample light bites from local restaurants, taste different micro-brews and listen to live music.

Proceeds from the event will go towards ongoing conservation and education efforts at the zoo.
