89th annual Carolina Cup in Camden

CAMDEN, S.C. (WOLO)– Tens of thousands showed up in Camden for the 89th Carolina Cup on Saturday.

The Carolina Cup is known for shopping, Spring fashion, tailgate parties and of course, a day full of steeplechase horse racing.

This annual ‘rite of Spring’ draws over 30,000 fans from across the world.

It also brings people together in more ways than one especially for one couple who made their 57th trip to the Carolina Cup.

The event also had competitions for best pants, hat and tailgate party.
