University of South Carolina students gives back to community with volunteer services

 

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)– Students at the University of South Carolina rolled up their sleeves to celebrate the community with “the big event” over the weekend.

The goal was to connect USC students, faculty and staff to the Columbia Community through acts of service and social sustainability.

Over 300 volunteers with USC completed service projects at different volunteer sites.

The community organizations included the Salvation Army, Share One Love, Midlands Orphan Relief, Keep the Midlands Beautiful and Laurel Crest Retirement Community.
