CAE implementing new parking fees, features

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)– Beginning in May, Columbia Metropolitan Airport will be changing rates at its parking facilities.

Airport officials say beginning on May 1, parking rates for the surface lot will go from $10 to $12 a day.

For the garage the price will go from $14 to $17 a day.

Any pre-scheduled parking reservations will be honored at the old price.

Some of the updates the airport parking will have is ongoing operation of a pre-book parking software and platform management system, a second ADA accessible elevator has been installed in the garage parking lot, general maintenance in the garage parking lot including re-striping, skylight resealing and pressure washing and regular landscaping of both parking lots and grounds.

Handicap parking will remain free for the first day of parking with valid credentials with all subsequent days charged at the regular rate of the chosen lot.
