Deputies: Man accused of killing roommate, coroner identifies victim

RICHLAND COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO)– The Richland County Coroner has released the name of the victim of the early morning shooting.

According to Coroner Naida Rutherford, 25-year-old Mario Montecinos Ramos is the victim of the Old Percival Road shooting that happened around 1 a.m. on Tuesday.

Richland Co., S.C. (WOLO)– Richland Co. Deputies say a Midlands man is accused of killing his roommate.

Investigators say they responded to a home on Old Percival Rd. around 1am Tuesday morning.

According to deputies, witnesses told them Amadeo Castillo shot and killed his roommate while he was sleeping.

Three other people lived in the home.

Deputies say Castillo was taken into custody at the scene.

He is charged with Murder and Possession of a Weapon During a Violent Crime.
