JetBlue’s new checked bag fees now depend on the day

(CNN)– JetBlue’s checked-bag fees will now vary based on departure date.

The price of a first checked bag now ranges from $35 to $50, depending on factors including whether travel dates are peak or off-peak.

Peak dates encompass about half the year, including most of the busy summer travel season and dates before and after the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays.

On Trans-Atlantic flights, the first checked bag is still free, except for customers flying on tetra cheapest fare, Blue Basic.

For those customers then cost is now between $60 and $70.
