New FAFSA problem could keep students waiting longer for financial aid

(CNN)– There’s yet another problem with Federal Financial Aid forms that could further delay student aid awards.

According to the Department of Education, some colleges received the wrong information about some families’ finances.

Administrators blame that on what they call inaccurate tax data from the International Revenue Service (IRS).

The problem reportedly impacts about one million applicants.

This is just for the latest problem with this year’s free application for Federal Student Aid form.

It has been marked with delays and glitches after an updated version of the Financial Aid form was released.
