LEXINGTON COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO)– A pedestrian is dead after an early morning Wednesday collision, says SCHP.

According to state troopers, the collision happened around 6:40 a.m. on Edmund Hwy, east of Congaree.

A 2006 Toyota Scion was going east on Edmund Hwy when it hit a pedestrian that was in the roadway.

The pedestrian was pronounced as dead at the scene due to injuries.

The collision is under investigation by the South Carolina Highway Patrol.
