Coroner identifies person killed after Lexington County collision
LEXINGTON COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO)– Lexington County Coroner Margaret Fisher has identified the person who died after a collision Edmund Highway, said the coroner’s office.
Coroner Fisher said Marvin Orlando Felipe Perez, 34, of Halethorpe, Maryland was in the roadway when he was struck by a vehicle traveling eastbound on Edmund Highway around 6:40 a.m. on Wednesday morning.
Perez was pronounced dead due to injuries received in the collision at the scene. The coroner’s office said the driver remained at the scene and was not injured.
The Lexington County Coroner’s Office and the South Carolina Highway Patrol continuing to investigate the collision.
